Engaging Youth in Creative Peacebuilding (23 June 2009)

USAID, through a peacebuilding project implemented by CARE International, brought together in a week-long theater production in mid-June young people from Bairo Pite, a village considered a hotspot during the 2006 crisis. The play titled "No Conflict, Peace Yes!" features 50 youth (some of whom belong to rival martial arts gangs), who have received training in peace education as well as various aspects of theater production through the USAID project.
