USAID's Land Claims Database Extends Reach of Geographic Information Technology

USAID is supporting the week-long exhibition for GIS Day through its land registration project. Geographic Information System (GIS) technology supports these registration efforts by detailing land parcels and locations. The project has documented more than 25,000 land claims, and in doing so, has created a vital geographic database to support the government's land registration and titling activities.
