Peace-Building Project Produces Community Cooperation/ Projetu Hari’i Dame Hamosu Kooperasaun Komunidade

Residents of the Bedois neighborhood in Dili have completed construction of a new community center with support from USAID’s peace-building project, implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The center, in a neighborhood prone to conflict in recent years, is the direct result of cooperation, collaboration and volunteerism among members of the community. It will be used for meetings, workshops, and trainings with a focus on conflict prevention and will provide a focal point for one of the largest populations of resettled internally displaced persons in the country.
