Ministry of Health Launches First Strategic Plan/ Ministériu Saúde Lansa Planu Estratéjiku Dahuluk

Minister of Health Dr. Nelson Martins has just launched his ministry's National Health Sector Strategic Plan 2011–2030.  The plan is the first government-led strategy for the country's health sector and the first to clearly outline the Ministry’s framework of priorities and implementation plans for maternal and child health.  Parts of the plan were developed with USAID support, and USAID’s health projects continue to play a leading role in helping the Ministry accomplish its objectives for improved accessibility, equability and quality of maternal and child health services.
