29 Graduates from Financial Management and Audit Courses Cap USAID's Justice-Sector Project/ Graduadu Nain 29 husi Kursu Jestaun Finanseira no Auditoria Subliña USAID nia Projetu Setór Justisa

USAID Mission Director Rick Scott spoke at the graduation ceremony this week of 29 managers from five justice-sector offices who completed the 18-month executive financial management and basic auditing courses taught by USAID's Justice Institutions Strengthening Project. Also this week, four executive staff members from the Anti-Corruption Commission headed to Hong Kong on a one-week study tour at Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption to learn about corruption prevention methods that the Commission can apply in Timor-Leste. These activities mark the end of the seven-year USAID project, which was instrumental in supporting a wide range of the government's justice-sector activities as well as the courts and watchdog organizations, such as the Human Rights Ombudsman and the Anti-Corruption Commission. The USAID-MCC anticorruption program continues this financial management mentoring with a range of institutions.
